Hi John. I'm no FB expert so excuse my ignorance on the subject! I'm talking about the controller circuit xml though .... all the <if condition="Len(trim(myString))"> etc just feels a bit odd. I prefer MG's stricter xml event handlers and listeners with controller cfc's.
But as I said its a FB4 app so not 5.5 which I've heard is much improved. You don't need to use XML and CF in circuits (unless you mean the lexicons). If you're using XML version then set it up so that only the controller has XML.
