I do like plus 3 much better.  The pace and timing feel fine.

I went back to look at the previous versions because I had such a strong
emotional reaction to the plus covering up the numbers.   Guess what?  It
still really bothers me.  I have no idea why, but I have a very strong
frustrated feeling when that plus covers up the numbers.

And guess what? In your conjugate animation, where the plus covers the
numbers, this bugs me too.  But the feeling isn't as strong.  It's more like
a vague bugging feeling opposed to a flash of intense frustration.  :)

What was wrong with the gold halo you gave numbers in that video with the
sparkles that no one except me liked?
