[Chevelle-List] oil pan

Hey Guys,  I hope you guys can help me. I want to replace the oil pan on my 67 396. The dipstick on my present pan is on the passenger side. However, all the oil pans I have seen in various catalogues show the dipstick mounting hole on the driver’s side. Which is the correct side?   The pan is supposed to fit all 65-70 big blocks. Did they change sides sometime during those years? Any help would be great. Fred
