Well, now that I've done it once, it seems pretty easy. :-)
I thought I had to "lift" the tunnel, but turns out I didn't. And a original 4sp tunnel would be even easier. All that that is required is a 26 spline clutch, and you must use the C6 slip yoke on the driveshaft (free with TKO purchase). Your GM bellhousing, fork, pilot bearing, etc will work. Oh, and of course an opening for the shifter base. I'm not sure about driveshaft length, but I think you'd have to have yours shortened a bit. Optionally, but recommended is a GM speedo adapter ($60), and a reverse light switch ($16). And a cross member modification is most likely required. The GM Tremec 5sp uses a standard TH400 trans mount, but I lowered my tailshaft by 3/8" to get the top of the trans to clear the tunnel.
