That seems like a lot of motor for a Performer intake. Perhaps a Performer RPM air gap would be more appropriate.
I'm a fan of the Performer 750, myself, because I find it easier to tweak than a Holley, but Holleys are a damn good carb, too.
I like to keep it as simple as possible - mechanical secondaries, manual choke, throw it on the manifold and run, and all the Edelbrock performer carbs I've had have been great.

I'm am shopping for a carburetor and looking for suggestions. I have a 454 ci that is 60 over , with flat top pistons not quite sure of compression. 113cc oval port heads ,it has comp cam with .526 lift int. & ex, duration is 230 deg., lobe seperation is 110 deg, stock valve train, edelbrock performer 2.0 intake. appreciate all suggestions. thank you ,Jimmy .C
