bowtieoverdrives.com has 2004Rs that they say are good for mild performance
engines up to 350HP for $895. That would be fine for me. It seems like you
don't have to modify the trans tunnel but you do need a 3" shorter
driveshaft. Seems like a good deal to do it now since I'm going to have the
nose off and the engine out anyway.

Also this is a 1970 console a/t car, so I'll be bugging you guys on how to
set up the linkage, and I seem to remember somebody saying that you could
buy a new shift indicator lens somewhere that shows the proper number of
gears.
