I also closed the crate on my Mini-Pin when I left
home. There was also a Fire Notice on my door to
Look for Animals in case of an emergency while I
was gone (I live in a condo). It all makes sense
to me. I am well aware that frightened small dogs
are going to burrow and hide in an emergency.
There is only so much strangers to a floor plan
can do to save them when trouble occurs. A closed
crate is noticeable to emergency workers and
hopefully gives the babes more than half a chance.
