I been trying to keep up with the Pedalyte for which he had 2 dropper fulls
about an hour ago. I then crushed up this regular dry dog food and put with it
a very small amt. of honey along with warm warm to help soften the food. He
ate alittle but I feel he ate just the right amount under circumstances,
hopefully, he will keep this down. Hopefully, he will keep this down and then
I will take him in at Vets at 3p.m. for a shot. Vet assistant followed up
with me this morning and told me just what 1 person had told me about not
giving the Amoxicillan on an empty stomach as that would probably make him
vomit. She told me if I wanted to try the liquid Amoxicillan fine or if I felt
more comfortable in bringing him in for a shot or just to be checked that would
be okay, also.
We have Maple Syrup in the stores but I have none in the house at this time.
He been urinating and even had a stool. He gives me kisses on and off.
Goliath, like all our Chi and animals, are just so sweet no matter how badly
they feel.
Thanks for your concern and advise, much appreciated.

Where are you? Only ask because of the maple syrup question. any
supermarket will have it if you have none in but if you have honey
in, it will work just as well. Rub it into his gums.Make sure you
keep the water syringes up. Will he lap at all?
The shot the vet will give will be antibiotics same as you're giving
him orally but in an injection form. (I would have insisted on that
right at the beginning) I think the shots that people have been
talking about on this forum are vaccinations and the reactions to
them.
how is he now? has he been sick again? If he's not, have you tried
him with a tiny tiny piece of steamed chicken?
