  Thanks, Mel.  As I mentioned in a previous post, Cesar goes in Monday to be 
neutered, so, I thought I would ask about having his dew claws removed.  For 
some reason Cesar's dew claws were never removed and he has one on each of his 
front and hind legs.  Recently, I noticed that they sometimes get caught up in 
his blanket, so I though maybe it would be wise to have them removed.  I only 
talked to the vet tech but she said it is much more involved than just 
clipping, that it is surgery, like removing a toe, painful, with loss of blood. 
 She said she would mention it to the vet but that her suggestion was to leave 
them alone.  Comments?
