Well, I guess I am just going to have to try taking her out and see if she likes the cold or not. She always uses the wee pads, so her wanting to go out is just because she loves walking on a leash. I have read that the chi's are susceptible to colds, if they get chilled, that's why I was asking. I was never concerned when I had the maltese's, I would put a sweater on them, but they didn't like the cold any more then Yorkie I had. And when you have an American Eskimo you really don't have to be concerned, they do better in the cold then the heat.

The temps have dropped to the 40's and I was wondering if I put a sweater and a coat on her would that be enough to prevent her from getting chilled? She has been inside for two weeks because of the cold and or rainy weather. I am concerned that she may catch a cold. With Princess, I only put a coat on her once the temps reach freezing or below, even then she does not like it. So how cold is too cold for a Chi to be outside, even for a short 15 minute walk? And how much do you have to bundle them up? ♥ Peggy & The Girls ♥ -- Rylee O'Neill Email: [email protected]
