Thanks for that tip... one of these days Benji is going to have a companion so it is good to know about needing to treat them differently.
I had her to the vet several time for urinalysis and cultures…nothing wrong with her. I went by myself to the vet last Tuesday for the results of her culture…I told him that I read that sometimes female spayed dogs mark because they are stressed. He told me that Dolly never appears stressed, but I told him how she gnaws at her toys like she is going to kill them! Then I said that I don’t know why she is stressed because I finally got to the point where both get equal amount of attention….BINGO! He said one has to be the alpha, so now I have been doing her first for everything…first to get a treat; first to get the leash on; first in the booster seat. It has worked…in the last week, I praise her up and down when she uses the puppy pad; although she will not used the same one that Desi uses…I guess she needs her own little puppy pad to make her feel superior. I haven’t seen (or walked on) any little pee puddles on the carpet since. F
