I agree those rates are a rip off to pay for their new building. They will
probably charge you for the xray copies, just like people doctors do. Your
friends rates are about the average here in NY. Call Beth and see what they
say and what if anything they will charge for copies of everything. If they
had blood work done within the last couple of months for anything, I would
get a copy of that too. Those copies will save you money from having to
re-do the test with a new Vet, that's for sure.

Hi Peggy, I really just want her x-rays they took 3 weeks ago. I feel they
do a good job, but I don't think money always meens you get the best service
. When I took Smidge in for her check up, I brought Chassis too as they don
t get seperated much, plus i wanted to get both of there glands done while
there.. I didn't even think to ask how much? 40.00 each!!! Her x-rays were
155.00 So for x-rays, both glands done and 3 medications 275.00.
The bill prior to that was 409.00!! They said the x-rays wouldn't be as much
next time, just 89.00 plus blood work too.. I called my bestfriends vet that
she has used for years. They charge 89.00 1st x-rays, and the second ones
are 30. $12.00 to do glands..

I think it depends on the Vets attitude. I had one Vet that refused to give
me a copy of my dogs history. I guess he figured, that I would have to stay
with him. I have called some Vets office after the visit and have asked
for copies and they were always sending them to me , but never did. I
learned from those experiences, whenever they get shots or any testing done,
I wait for a copy of the results at the end of the visit, and then pay them.

I guess you will have to call /visit them to find out. Lots of Luck with
the new Vet too.

How has she and the rest of the pack doing? And little Vida, has she
smitten your ex for good now, lol?

Hi everyone, I know you all know I have been having to take Smidgen to the
vets re: her heart problems. I have decided to change my vet that I have
been using for last 9 years. They have recently re model the office and it
seems clients are paying for it.. The prices have gone through the roof! My
situation is I want to take Smidge to another vet, so will my old vet give
me all my records of the dogs?
Beth
