Yes.but sometimes they charge more than an arm and a leg to give the records to you. They have to keep the records as part of their practice.
By the time that you pay for all the records you may be paying more than to keep your old vet and pay his higher fees. I get copies and then I can always make another copy if I want to switch Vets again, or if I had to travel I would have my own, instead of waiting for a Vet to mail me one and possibly charge me all over again for more copies.
