No idea how good the source is but it seems fairly credible.
According to Stephan Olbertz, the "Stahlharfe" was something Wagner came
up with afterwards. Maybe he found out that the onstage lute wasn't loud
enough or perhaps he couldn't find a singer able to accompany himself.
