But, Kathy, what I am saying is that I don't feel that I am in ethical
conflict or even ethically challenged. I participate in both venues and
enjoy each venue for what it is. When breeding I will use a dog that is
dual registered...it gives my puppy buyers more options and I still feel
that there are enough dogs that are dual registered that my options are
wide enough for what I hope to do in breeding. Because as I have stated
before, the club that I am most involved with and feel an affinity for is
the CKCSC show, so in making that decision, I will adhere to their code of
ethics. Not a good or bad decision....just a personal choice.
I don't see a problem with a show being a social event either....I love it.
If I can going to have to spend money to stay in a hotel whether showing
AKC (I live in the boonies) or CKCSC, I would personally prefer for it to
be a fun gathering of many friends over the course of the weekend. Again,
not good or bad, just a personal choice.
Kathy, I don't think that anyone is mudslinging. I have enjoyed reading
the posts and the level of maturity that has come to this group over the
years and believe me....it has not always been there. I was just trying
to say that perhaps people like Myra and myself (and many more), just enjoy
the sport for the sport and nothing more.
Just an opinion,
Kind regards,
Kim
