Pam, Annette, and everyone on the list,
Let me correct myself...any dog that has MVD postponed to a much older age
say 10, 11, etc or a dog that gets it at 7 and offspring don't until a much
older age than the parent. You know, it doesn't really matter if we already
have some of these in the old club, we should give any akc cavalier owner
the option to register with the old club so we can make a difference in the
breed. It is through education seminars on health, judging, etc that we can
make a difference to preserve the breed standard and help those that want to
learn what they can do to become part of the solution and not the problem. I
just want what is best for these dogs and to me that means we put aside our
differences and ask ourselves,"will this be in the best interest of the
breed?" We don't need division, we need to work together as a team.
I didn't realize that this issue was not to be discussed so, I will not
respond to any further threads. I apologize to everyone on the list for my
error.
