I agree that the LSH surge is very important. For us, we used the progesterone level, LSH surge, (14 day run of Baytril right before she came in season) and an 18 month old boy on Glycoflex and got 9 puppies, eight of which lived. Another one of our boys on Glycofex sired a litter of 8. The litter of 9 only had the one tie and by the next day, she was rejecting him. There are so many variables, including coincidence and luck that it makes breeding so absorbing and interesting. The boy who sired the litter of 8 was the result of two fresh AIs also using the LSH surge for timing.
