Glycoflex is a joint supplement that, according to our reproduction specialist, has an added side effect of increasing sperm numbers and motility. I haven't seen data on it, but I have heard of two different boys who had very low sperm counts which improved significantly when the boys were put on Glycoflex. No, my bitch didn't have an infection, but it makes sense to me that when there are a lot of different flora and fauna present in the vaginal vault which may not be affecting the bitch,but which may well affect the eggs/sperm/ fetus. So, I put her on a 14 day run of Baytril. Yes, it is true that the female controls the number of eggs produced and the male controls the sex of the puppies. That is scientific information. However, it also seems to me that if the sperm are not at their utmost health and vitality, they won't be able to get the complete job done. I do believe that is why the older boys give us small litters so frequently. The sperm is there but it isn't in tip top condition. Myra Savant
