Hi Liz,
I flew from Stockholm to Seattle with a stop over (about an hour) in
Amsterdam with a puppy and she did real well on the water I brought along.
Most of the time she wouldn't take any but she drank some on the 10 hour
flight from Amsterdam to Seattle. She also took very little food which I
also carried. I took pee pads (also newspaper for spreading on the floor in
the terminal in Amsterdam, and plastic baggies) but she didn't have any
accidents. However, the last 30 minutes as we decended into SeaTac she got
a little noisy and going through customs, you could hear her all through the
terminal. When I got her outside she refused to use the potty spot near the
airport and when I got her home (another hour) the dam broke and I think she
went 4 times. This could've been very traumatic for this pup since she had
only known me for 2 days before the long trip but she acted fine, except for
the dam breaking episode. Would I do it again? You bet. It was quite an
adventure for both of us.
