Coming from an OB background where we routinely tube fed infants for various reasons, I much prefer it to an eye dropper or something like that. I don't understand why it wouldn't be considered to be a safe method of feeding. If correct technique is used, it is a safe method for feeding a puppy. As the puppy gains strength, it will eventually refuse to be tubed. Myra Savant
