I totally agree with Cindy. Tube feeding should be used as a last report. The reason I believe that is that I think the puppies need the sucking and nursing procedure that they get from a bottle (or mom). Tube feeding is much less time consuming but I am never in that much of a hurry with my puppies. I also find that in the cases of puppies I have raised on a bottle, they are so totally oriented to people from being held and cuddled while they nurse on the bottle that they have the most stable and wonderful personalities.
Of course, when we mention feeding the puppies ourselves we should also mention that you have to "potty" them too unless the puppies can be with mom and she can (and will) do it.
