With all due respect, I disagree with this statement.  To begin with,
several of the dogs in the ACKCSC year book are dual registered dogs and are
also seen in the CKCSC USA yearbook and show ring.  Secondly, many of the
dogs in both year books are English imports or off spring of imports.  We
live with a total of 11 cavaliers, 7 are English imports,
and 4 American Bred whose pedigrees go very quickly back into English lines.
  I don't see two different kinds of cavaliers here.  Nor are the American
dogs smaller that I can see.  Our largest at 21 pounds is American bred and
our smallest at 14 pounds is an English import.  Our experience in the two
show rings seems also to be slightly different.  Not good or bad, just
different.  AKC judges often appear to value structure and movement, whereas
old club shows will often favor typiness and lovely heads.  However, the
truly big winners in both venues are the exact same dogs.  Myra Savant
