Brigette, get some Flagyl from the pet catalogues and keep it on hand to use when a pup or a dog gets the runs. It does have an antibacterial action, but it also has an anti-inflamatory response that works well on the canine intestinal tract. Often times, only 1/6 of a tablet at the time you notice the runs and again in about 12 hours cures it. Myra
