I think you're wrong here Winnie. Most breeders adore their dogs just as most pet people adore their dogs. Judging from the thousands of dogs I've dealt with running the shelter as well as the dogs coming though rescue, it's not breeders that find alternate arrangements for dogs that have out lived their usefullness.
