It's an interesting question Kim. I think that because the amount of blood that circulates in a pregnant bitch increases by about 30%, I would opt not to subject her heart to a pregnancy. Having said that, however, I would add that I can't see myself breeding a girl of 6 or 7 who has been diagnosed with a murmur. Maybe a boy of seven recently diagnosed with a grade I if I knew enough about his family and their rate of longevity. I would make the decision for him based on the information I have about his ancestors. You are exactly right though that it is this type of hard question that breeders face.
