I would be less forgiving with a bitch, because they statistically should remain clear longer than the dogs. I'm guessing that their 50%-clear mark is probably closer to six than to five. I would also worry about the stress that a pregnancy would put on the bitch with enough endocardiosis to cause a murmur. (There is a large increase in blood volume and workload on the heart during pregnancy). I would not breed a seven-year-old bitch with a grade II murmur, even if she was clear at 5. Leanne
