oops?  maybe?  from the front of the dogs arms at about the chest height, i
reach around to the back of the arm to the bone that feels like a "point"
behind the front arms, that is where the break is (upper arm, around the back
of the arm). If the dog is lying down and has both arms stretched out, it's
the last spot that is on the ground where the bend occurs and goes up to the
shoulder.  The twist or fall may have occured and he fell "sideways" hitting
the back of the left front arm, chipping that bone.  The arthritic changes he
saw on the xrays of different joints were independent things he felt, or
since the left hip joint had more "wear" that could be due to favoring weight
after the front arm injury...
