When I first read about this, I wondered about syringomyelia, which Annette
Jones had mentioned here on the list not long ago. It's a disorder of the
spinal cord and it's painful, I believe. Don't know much about it, but I don't
think traditional x-ray diagnoses it. I think an MRI is needed.

I could be way out in left field, but it's something to think about.
