Yes, but Pamela. The alternative is to take payment right there on the spot for the services of our boy. We prefer to wait until puppies arrive. We don't want to hope that we get a check at some point before the puppies are grown, nor do we wish to hold someone's money for six months to a year. We are not a bank. So, our choice is to take a pre-dated check for about 63 days down the road. The owner of the bitch can also stop payment on the check. If I spend my life worrying that someone will cheat me, it will make me crazy. People have cheated me in the past and will undoubtedly cheat me in the future. I simply can't worry about it. It is survivable. I have a basic trust in people, and I hope they have a basic trust in me. Myra Savant
