I'll tell you something interesting that happened to me. We have several bank accounts and most are joint accounts. One account (which I opened) we thought was set up so that Wm. could sign the checks even though we didn't have his name printed on the checks. He wasn't with me when I opened it, but I remember being given a card for him to sign so he could sign checks. Apparently, we never got back to the bank with the signature card. Well, years later he went to the bank to get a money order from this particular account and found that he was not on the account at all. He had been writting checks out of this account since it had opened and the fact that he did not have signature rights was never questioned by the bank even though his name was not on the checking account. Only one time at a store was he questioned about his name not being on the checks themselves, but I happened to be with him and we still didn't realize that there was a problem. He wrote checks out that account for years before we caught the oversight. All the best, Susan Cochran
