Hello again, My dogs were DNA tested here in this country. I haven't heard of any other countries doing DNA..and in my opinion the test cost is more than fair.
Any identification done on an import in this country could be false. Any test is only as good as the tester, actually. As far as ID...if the dog is chipped you need the scanner...not all shelters have them. Most tattoos are very difficult to read in a matter of weeks...so the best bet is to keep the dogs off the streets..said with humor...it is a difficult problem.
