Myra, The people at AKC don't know me. None of them know me..I am well known among Cavalier people and that fact (in this country) is changing rapidly. First we'll get that out of the way. The American Kennel Club sent me DNA testing kits..all papers, photos, were sent in at one time. The breed was Brussels Griffon. The DNA test is as valid as a tattoo or a microchip. Probably more so because you can never change the DNA...you could change the tattoo or the chip at any time. AKC has DNA in place to identify dogs, it is a clear and irrefutable test and as such is probably better (in these circumstances) than a chip or a tattoo.
