I don't think the talk about platelets is intended to give anyone something
more to worry about.  Rather, I think of it as education.  So many vets do
not know that a Cavalier's platelets need to be hand counted, so they are
treated for thrombocytopenia when, in fact, there is nothing wrong with
them!  Education on this point is only helpful!
