Here our dogs only go to the vet for regular vaccinations or if they are sick. And as I don't do annual vaccinations, most of my dogs only get to the vet for a swab before mating or some such thing.
Jeanie, I have to agree. I don't do annual vaccinations-and feel confident that I do not need a vet to tell me my dog is well. Our vets are outrageously expensive and aside from breed specific testing-OFA etc., we just don't go. Good breeding, diet, exercise and common sense go a long way. It is unfortunate, I feel vets in this country really take advantage of the pet buying public.
