"There is NEVER any reason to get down on the floor. I'm almost 6' tall and
I
don't have any problems standing up at all!"

Sue you are a scream!

I agree whole heartily that Cavaliers should NEVER be stacked on the floor.
Any one who has seen Robert Shcroll show can attest that it not difficult.

Glenn tell your instructors at the class that if they do not know how to
teach you based on their experience with Cavaliers that surely they must
know how to train you to show like a good sheltie handler. Stand up tall and
proud and keep your charge's attention. Remember the beauty of a cavalier is
that they should be happy, tail wagging and never static!

Just don't let them convince you that your dog needs to be raced around the
ring like a shepherd. There is enough of that going on already!
