I think we need to start at our own local levels of kennel clubs. Maybe every time a local club has a show, send out to the judges just prior to the show, the requirements. This can then have a collective effect. If each of us that belongs to a little or not so little local club work at this it might have a compound effect, that is to say each of the judges that judge here today will receive the breed standard letter about trimming etc. This same judge who is now judging in Michigan next week will receive a similar letter and at the end of a year these judges will have received a number of these letters from all the different kennel clubs. Now as far as I remember if you pound something in over time it stays in and doesn't fall out when the head hits the pillow. The standard should at some point be enforced consciously or unconsciously to make a trimmed dog seem wrong to the judges. Kind of like wearing one brown shoe and one blue shoe somewhere we learned it wasn't right to wear one of each. What do ya think? Kris Hassig MysticKnight Cavaliers MysticKnightcav@aol
