Barbara, would you sell your favorite dog for that reason? Some find it easier to place their dogs than others. I don't like debarking and would only use it in an extreme case where it was debark, move, or get rid of all my dogs. Sometimes we have these hard choices in life.
It is better to breed for a naturally quiet dog which is what the breed is supposed to be. They shouldn't be yappy. The only time there should be a racket is at feeding time. BTW if a dog whines under the table, it is because someone has been feeding it under the table.
