You are all right - and all have very valid points. I most certainly don't want my time and money (which are limited anyway) going to terroristic activities that result in animals being harmed (like dogs being freed from crates). I would rather be a part of a group that got things accomplished positively. Does anyone have positive suggestions? As an ex-teacher, I always tried to offer positives to replace negatives, so everyone felt that he or she had a choice.
I have read with great interest all this information on PETA - I do understand how you all feel. I won't say that ultimately I will disassociate myself with the organization, but this has given me something to think about. I did notice on the PETA site that one of the big puppy auction location is very near to where I live. Does anyone in the Dallas area do anything to work against this, like finding out when the auctions are and protesting? I emailed them (Breeders Auction on LBJ) but the email was returned. Obviously many of you have done your homework on PETA - how about giving me an alternative?
