In answer to Hilarie's post--
The Judges' Education Committee of the ACKCSC (Carol Williams, Chair,
Stephanie Abraham, John Gammon) has recently sent a letter to all AKC
judges urging them to remember that the Cavalier should be shown in a
natural state on a loose lead (and NO trimming). In addition, judges are
reminded that the Cavalier should be presented without the handler
resorting to artifice or "topping and tailing," remembering that it is
not in the nature of the breed to stand like a wooden statue.
