I love to see fluid, effortless movement that covers the ground well and
efficiently. I also like clean coming and going movement.

I recently started videotaping puppies and some of my adult dogs. This way
I can watch them over and over on my tv. It really is an eye opener.
Sometimes you suddenly and clearly see things you never saw before, both
good and bad. I have one 3 month old puppy who I had thought was quite nice
and moved well, but after videotaping I realized he was one of the nicest
moving puppies I've ever had--nice clean coming and going movement and
exceptional side movement. VERY fluid, perfect topline, exceptional reach
and drive for a puppy, really good attitude and body carriage--he also
self-stacked unusually well. I couldn't get over how I had missed that
watching him day after day. I videotaped 5 puppies and dogs in all. The
one looked exceptional, 1 other looked better than I had previously thought,
the others didn't look quite as good as I had hoped, but still looked very
nice.

Quite a learning experience.
