It is fairly simple *why*. Breeding live animals without proper knowledge
can actually hurt those animals---cause more health problems and cause them
to have to endure more pain than average. Not only that, but can cause
excess heartache to those poor souls who buy the puppies produced by
ignorant breeders. As mentioned before, in the last year I've gotten calls
from 2 people whose very young Cavalier died (both before 2 years of
age)--both Cavaliers appear to be from the same litter from the same
ignorant breeder. Both owners paid huge amounts of money trying to keep
their beloved pets alive--and both pets endured a tremendous amount of pain
and suffering due to the ignorance of their breeder.

This is not to say good breeders don't produce puppies who suffer unduly, it
is to say that good breeders have a lesser chance of doing so.

People who wish to supplement their income without knowledge should stick to
inanimate objects that don't feel pain. and won't cause their owners lots of
heartache.
