Vera Darby did a study on "Stiff Jaw and Swelling Head in Certain Dogs" in November of 1994. She sent me a copy and it appears to be linked to the vaccinations. Prednisolone was the recommended treatment, but it is a pretty serious condition according to her study. The symptoms are swollen head, lock jaw, eyes inflames, skin damage around eyes and muzzle. Some of the dogs recovered and some didn't. There seems to be a linkage to thrombocytopoenia. This study may be online. If not, I do have a copy. All the best, Susan Cochran
