Suze Surely that is what Junior handling is all about - presentation and handling. At least that is what it is in this country In the adult classes this is also why sometimes an inferior dog can go up - a clever handler (and I don't necessarily a pro handler here) shows off the dog's attributes and knows how not to draw attention to its failings - doing this quietly and unobtrusively. After all a judge has a very limited time to assess each dog and a handler fussing around can detract from the time the judge has available - the exception being in puppy classes where certainly over here the youngsters are allowed a little more time to settle.
