Susan, many years ago when I took my first college level class on genetics, we raised mice and tracked the recessive trait for albinoism. Trust me, no matter what we would have fed them, where they slept, or what kinds of environmental insults we might have hurled at them....if they inherited the recessive gene for albinoism from each parent, they were albinos. Granted, things have changed significantly in the scientific community since the early 60s, but not to that extent. What simple recessive trait can be affected by other factors? Myra
