If you are talking polygenetic traits, this may well be the case. However, if you are talking simple recessives, there would not be mitigating factors. You either inherit a recessive gene from each parent and express the trait or you don't. So...what is the consensus? Polygenetic, or simple recessive? These are apples and oranges. Myra
