So if you put it in the bill of sale, AKC will stand by your decision, but not otherwise? I usually put this in our puppy packet :
Our puppies are AKC registered with limited papers (non-breeding). New owner agrees to spay puppy at six months of age. Acceptance of puppy at the airport is legal acknowledgement of new owners agreement to spay said puppy. I don't always put the part about the airport; only if the puppy is shipped. However, I always use the first sentence so maybe as far as AKC is concerned, I'm covered.
