Hello, everyone! A quick question for breeders and/or veterinarians on the list.... Tilly came home after a short visit elsewhere, and is itchy/scratchy/chewing like crazy. Hubby actually found a flea on her, which is rather stomach-turning disgusting, but I know these things happen, so I'm not pointing fingers. What I need to know is what people recommend for battling fleas on a just barely pregnant (as in about 1-2 weeks along) bitch. I don't want to endanger the developing fetuses, but have to head-off this potential flea problem. We just flat- out do NOT have fleas here, so I'm at a bit of a loss! HELP!!!!
The vet's office suggested Advantage (which I'm not keen on at all), or a pyrethrin based shampoo. Any other/additional ideas or thoughts??
