Sandra, if you do NOT have fleas at your place, and you only found one flea on your girl.....then I would just completely go over her with a flea comb....make sure there aren't two fleas! and give her a bath. I used to go to the beach with the dogs and invariably, they would bring home a few fleas......we'd just comb them well and bathe them and no problem. Best, Judi Geldermann
