Here is a question for you. Lets say you have a nice bitch, that's not quite good enough for the show ring, but has some very nice qualities, that you know you can work with. You have her heart and eyes checked out and they are fine but when you get the prelims done, you are told one hip is poor and the other is only fair. You check back in her pedigree and there are no other hip problems discovered in the pedigree.
Do you: A: breed her anyway (making sure the boyfriend's hips are rated at least a "good")? B: have her spayed and placed in a pet home? If you say place her, do you: A. sell her for "regular" price? B. tell the new owners about the hips? Now before you start throwing flames. Personally I would place her and would only ask for enough to cover the cost of the spay. But I have put this question to some other breeders and received a wide variety of replies. So now, I would like to hear from others.
