I was fortunate with our first show dog. We bought her from a breeder out of province (pre-Cavalier, this was a Golden) who I would deal with again anytime. Our first girl unfortunately did not make it to her first birthday. She was so dysplastic by 11 months that she could no longer walk and we had to euthenize her. The breeder bent over backwards trying to honour the warranty. She offered us a boy (no, we wanted a girl) she even offered us the sister which she had kept. Unfortunately the sister reminded us too much of what we had lost, so that was not an option. Finally she offered us our girl's dam (Dinah) on lease so we could breed our own replacement. Oh the joy of having that special girl born right into your hands. Dinah ended up staying with us for the rest of her life because the breeder was reducing the number of dogs she had. Dinah was with us almost to her 16th birthday. I have never forgotten that breeder's honourable dealings and have applied them to my breeding practices when I had Goldens and now to the Cavaliers. -- Brigitte Falch Kibergo Cavaliers Reg'd Maple Ridge, BC, Canada [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://alescosys.com/kibergo For the life of your dog - FASTRACK - now available in Canada ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
